Hi, I'm spanish and here we can't learn photoreading attending seminars, but we can read the PR book. So, I've read the book and I've tried to practise it. However, I can't activate. Where is my problem? I don't know. Probably I can't enter in the photofocus state, I think. I have great faith in this method and I think it's possible, but here I don't find photoreaders.

Please, send me answers to better (or to begin) my photoreading and my activation. I've tried to activate, but I can't write ona Mind Map.

Waiting for help and thank you for everything.

Hi Carles,

I also only could read the PR book, and I also had problems with the activation step and I also have great faith in this method.

There are some methods for activation, it's good to know which type of person you are. You know: you can be visual, it can be that you feel mostly, and you can be auditory.
I think it's better if you know first which type of person you are.
This could be the cause, why you can't write ( or you can also say: draw) on a mind-map: Maybe you aren't visual.

I don't know the other methods ( because I'm visual, so i don't really need them), but maybe some other members know some more informations.

In the PR book, there are also explained two species: the manuel and the spontaneous activation.

In the PR book there is also written about the man who Photoread ten books a day. With this method you train to use your subconscious. This is like when you start cycling: You have train to get better. So when you train, you improve your using of the subconscious your.
Actually, I can't photoread ten books a day, cause I have not enough time, but I try to read at least one book a week, so i can train.

Something what also is important, is to be relaxed while the activation step.

So, go on with photoreading and train your activation moment.

Maybe you can also do the dictionnary game.

Good luck!!

Hi phil13,

Thanks for reply my post. I don't know if I'm visual or another sense. I think I'm visual, because I'm begining to use MM in daily study. With MM I can "see" all unit at a glance.

I've tried to photoread 10 books a day. My problem is the next: today is the second day, but I haven't a lot of books, it's, I needn't to photoread many books. So, my question is: can I photoread the same books? Then could I understand them and activate them in the future? I'm studying about 20 books, so, I'd photoread the same, to entrain my subconscient.

You can PhotoRead the same book ten times a day. They can be activated in the future. If you have 20 books. I suggest PhotoReading 5 of them every day. Are they textbooks?

For activation. What's your purpose? If you are having trouble with activation you probably don't have a purpose. Also learn PhotoReading on a small book of about 250 pages first. Use the 5 day test as instructed in the book for 3 to 5 books before graduating to textbooks.

Thanks for your reply, Alex. Well, there are 11 text books. There are 7 music books (I play the trumpet) and there are 2 novels.

My activation isn't full, but I've the purpose perfectly defined. My purposes are, for example, "Know how was the world in the early twentieth century". I use this purpose to study History. When I'm studyng English, my purpose is "Optimize my English". Actually, I use more than one purpose. I write all the purposes in a post-it. When I'm reading from PDF, I write notes with one software and then I reread.

I do all this, but I've already photoread around 15 or 20 books, and mostly I've rephotoread 5 or 6 times. So I think I need help, and I'm here, asking another time.

Thank you for answer me.

I'm glad you have more than one purpose because what you've given me as a purpose isn't a purpose.

A purpose explains Why And when you tell someone your purpose it will include the words so I can...

Why do you want "Know how was the world in the early twentieth century"

Without knowing why you want to know. How can you tell when you know it? I could say. The world was slower in the early twentieth century. I'd be right. But was that the point? You want more. O.O Why? smile

What does Optimize my English mean? How do you know when you've reached optimized? Without a purpose you cannot measure it.

Learn the system first on books not related to your school work,

Alex
