I am looking for tips to spontaneously activate text.

In the course, it is said that the steps are merely suggestions.

My goal is to be able to see a book (both pages at once) and as soon as I merely look, the pages are decoded.

Also, at incresingly rapid speeds.

The other goal I have is to do the same with electronic text; pdf's, web pages, and verically scolling web pages (my favorite reading format :)).

Really, my main goal is to be able to read 1 million words per minute, as I see that this is an absolutely attainable goal for photoreaders.

Please; tips from anyone that reads this. Even if they are just off the top of your head.

It is my understanding that although PR admits 'this', that is Spontaneous Activation can happen, PR does not warrant or advertise that it will happen. Rather PR stipulates an increase in reading and comprehension speed, somewhat as any good course on the subject does.

The 'tips' to spontaneously activate text, especially after one pass where some even want that to be without much (or any) pre-pass or post application of what are often common speed reading or study techniques, hence comprehension exercises, again is not what PR promises.

Also, the desire to read 1 million words per minute does not fall into any course's capabilities that I have ever heard of, except maybe for some android on Star Trek, obviously again not promised or even 'hinted at' by PR.

I would expect you need look at different lines of approach, some which my take a whole life-time to master.

I do know all this is possible, but am still working out the wrinkles of that 'whole life-time to master' part!

How fast can you read, if i may ask?

Well, I do not consider it reading.

First I still read at fast emotional slog when it a small matter, much as most people are in the habit of doing. I sometimes just default to some basic speed reading when it passes one full page, so that is no more the 1-2 thousand words a minute. I only do this when I must look at reports I usually do not care to look at all that much.

Otherwise most often I just look at the material by flipping through it, like unto picture-reading. When I do this in front of people they look at me askance, but I ignore it and just speak or answer whatever questions for which I looked at the material to begin with. Since so far, I usually possess a better command of that material than they do after just picture reading the material, their skepticism passes.

But, for my computer science studies and anything else that runs into many pages, even unto several books on a like topic, I strictly 'picture-read' them all. For this I count pages and usually keep it to less than 3000 pages in any single day. I have done more, but like about 2000 pages. I do experience a fatigue best expressed as a kind of mental stress past a certain point. When I walk off to go do something with my hands the book flows through my mind like a movie.

So, two hours or so for a 1 million words. You get used to it.

But, I see limitations to this just yet. One, I need stay on a single topic. It is easier with well written material. I have other skill-sets used and honed over decades and enough personal experience years past that I have no issue with belief.

I see this as dealing with ideas and energy. When picture-reading an old book I love and have well studied through the years, I get very wired, high nervous energy perhaps; hard to stay put picture-reading the whole book. All skills unfold by use and persistent application.

You have to bring more to the table than first meets the eye, if not you must 'develop or unfold' to meet the demands that confront you.

You want to do these things, 'persist to think and feel outside the box' as it were.

I've been experimenting with the Activation phase but not lately due to end-of-school year work load. Looking forward to July so that I can get back to my reading!!
