Hello,

I'm having trouble trying to figure out where to write my different goals and in what direction to place them.

For example, I just started learning to play a musical instrument, should I write my goal to play beautifully in my Success direction or in my Growth direction?
Also, I want to start investing to generate some cashflow, this is a goal that is completely different than my career (science). So, my goal for successful investing should be placed in my success direction and be placed in my room? (I have science oriented goals for my work office).
Another question is where to put 'discipline' as a goal, success or growth direction? (discipline to complete this course as well as other courses from LS - I keep putting things off)
However, in my growth direction I have goals that have to do with developing my intuition, healing abilities and to develop communication with my inner/higher self. To add discipline to this list seems like it doesn't belong. Last, should I put my healing abilities goal in the Health direction with my SF Qigong goals (in one of the CDs I heard to place the SFQigong symbol in the Health direction)

If someone could please help me with these questions, especially the Music and personal investing questions, I would appreciate it very much.

Ah! Almost forgot, can I make my own activation cards? My goals will change and we only get 1 set for home and office. I made one from white paper and drew and colored the shapes and number, would that work? I was thinking of using powerpoint to make the shapes and colors for next time.

Thank you everyone for your time and answers.

Best,

Hello Tasha,

I made color copies of the activation cards and use the copies whenever my goals change. I'm sure your activation cards work (maybe even better) when you make them yourself and put your efforts and creativity into them smile

Regarding your goals I think if you're learning an instrument it's a good idea to place this goal in your growth direction.
With respect to the private cash flow ideas I agree with you that it's a good idea to place them in your success direction.

If you want to develop discipline as a character trait then I would go for the growth direction. But I don't think you should limit yourself by telling the Universe that you have to achieve your goals with discipline. If you think you lack discipline - in my experience it's more an excess of resistance smile Very often we resist doing something and at the same time we resist NOT doing it wink Maybe it's easier to decide to let go the resistance underneath ...

In your health direction I would place goals regarding your personal health. If you want to develop your healing abilities to help others then perhaps the growth direction is a good idea.

If you have more goals for one direction than you can write on your activation cards I would prioritize the goals and place the most important one in the corresponding direction until it has been manifested and then you can go for the next. I feel more focused and the energies are more concentrated.

I have the impression that you want to do many things in a short period of time - please take care of yourself, ideally goals represent your visions of your future and should not represent "musts" and "shoulds" ... your goals should inspire you and not be a burden ...

Love,
Astrid

Thanks so much for answering my questions Astrid.

You made my view shift and my eyes open with what you said about discipline, "resist doing something and at the same time we resist NOT doing it" ... genius. I kept blaming the things I had to do (too boring, tedious, not fun) or myself (slacker, not smart enough, procrastinator, etc), at the end it was easy to say that I did not have discipline. So, I thought that becoming disciplined would solve all my issues.

Thank you for opening my eyes. It is not discipline. It is me "resisting" doing things that have to get done. And, at the same time, it is me blaming myself for not doing those things (thus, resist not doing them). ... did I interpret that correctly?
Now the hard part, letting go of the resistance. Will work on that (any hints or advice would me much appreciated).

You are also spot on on the amount of things I want to do in a short time. I don't think my goals are a burden, it is just that 'the world around me' is making my goals seem unachievable. I also started the Effortless Success course, perhaps that is why my goals are sort of "life" goals instead of more immediate goals. I do realize that 'the world around me' IS me/my doing.
I will work prioritizing my goals. I guess, no, I AM trying to do "everything" I want to do and be at once.

Thank you so very much for your help and advice. I'm very impressed that a complete stranger could figure out the truth behind my questions so well.

Thank you Astrid. Your reply to my questions was much more helpful that I could have ever imagined.
