Learning Strategies has done heaps of research. The main problem with it is we can never remove the bias. Someone who wants to learn is biased and someone who's forced to learn is biased. You cannot take the human out of the equation.
In fact the school system has quite a problem with the subject of reading anyway. Too many people cannot read. We could solved the problem by saying it's impossible to read but that doesn't satisfy the 49% who cannot read despite being educated. Then we discover people have different reading levels. The problem isn't it cannot be done. It's a matter of teaching and finding a way to teach more. Everyone has taken my seminar has proven for themselves that they can PhotoRead and it does help them get their reading done faster. They all learned the system and discovered it works. They also learned that not all reading is the same. Just because we learned to read one word at a time in school doesn't mean that's the only or even the most effective way to read.
The majority of the population doesn't know how to swim either. That doesn't mean it cannot be done. It means they haven't learned.
The young teens who've learned PhotoReading in my seminars really took off with the system. They didn't have the idea that it can't be done and don't require proof first. They were open. What are you going to teach me? Okay now teach me. Their verdict? This is so cool.
