Hello,
I found out when I use the PR technic to read the textbook, the speed up is not so obvious.
Before I learned the PR system , I could read 60 pages for 3 hours. So for 5 hours I could read 100 pages. But today I spent 5 hours to read less than 100 pages. I used the skittering to activate the book.

I think I have the suitable purpose. From the purpose I have related mind probing questions. But even I have mind probing questions, I still have to skittering over all paragraphs, even those are not related to my purpose(<- I think this is the problem).

I expect I could at lease use this system to speed up 2 times, say, 5 hours for 200 pages. But in fact it is not.

So what is the problem?

Should I superreading and dipping to find out what I need, and then skittering around it?

Have you worked with the system on books that are not textbooks yet. If you know how to use the system you wouldn't be measuring in number of pages read but what you learned in that time.

What's your purpose for the chapter of the textbook?

Why are you skittering paragraphs that don't relate to your purpose? Superread and dip And as you recognise it doesn't relate to your purpose move on.
