I read you response to the previous post with interest.
Since receiving my photoreading course manual last week I am currently listening through the entire program first before engaging fully with the program the second time through. I am currently doing undergraduate study with OUA( Online Universities Australia) so most of my subject matter ( heaps)is electronic. I understand by your post it is better in the beginning to use a book..I will do both and see what happens.
