Hello, I am a 21-years old student of Mathematics and I had been considering
Photoreading for a few months, I bought the book about a month ago, Aside from
Mathematical texts [which my Photoreading of them later showed me that It's
impossible to rely on Photoreading] Most of my reads are works of ficition,
so I thought about using
Photoreading for them and bought the book for that purpose, What happened? Nothing.
Nothing at all. What other book types I tried? I tried Self-help, Philosphy, Science,
and History.
What steps did I do everytime?
I: (1) Got into state.
And stated my purpose here, My purposes were like this:
For novels: To read the novel and absorb it at a much faster pace.
For self-dev: To read the book X for the purpose of my developing my ability to/with X.
Philosphy, Science? To know about the thoughts and ideas of Person X or Theory X.
(2) Previewed [I later turned it into a postview as per suggestion]
I previewed the table of contents, read the index, made a pre-mindmap and
further refined my purpose.
At a later time, I did a freenoting session as per advice of one friend of mine, who
Introduced me to Photoreading first.
(3) PhotoRead
I re-did the state-exercises [The apple one]; Afterwards I "Photofocused" on the blip of
the page and kept turning pages, as I read on this forum, I tried Imagining an X, looking
at each page individually, and looking above the page, and imagining myself looking from above.
I tried Photoreading itself many ways, Upside down, Backwards, Backwards while Upside down, Sideways, Multiple Photoreadings using all theese ways, No success.
(4) Activated
At that time what did I do? I tried skimming, "Super reading", "dipping" and ultimately
rapid reading, A Background here: I am an avid speed reader and took more than one seminar
on Speed reading, I read at the speed of 800-1000 WPM per minute.

The results? "Super Reading" did nothing for me, other than giving me a very vague idea
of keywords, What about rapid reading? Nothing happened at all, Nothing, I speed read in a normal
way, In fact, I can see that when I did the previous steps I was slowed down with my mind
being like a radio and keeps thinking "I should know by know all what I photoread, I should by
now know it all]
In fact, I have come to the conclusion that it does nothing, Another thing that is near-impossible
to believe is Scheele assertion that only 4-11% of a text contains useful information, sadly
enough, not for ANY book I read! Maybe It can apply to Scheele's own books? Maybe, but not for the books I usually read.
I tried incubating in the range of 1-24 hours, Still nothing happened, Affirmations, still nothing
happened at all, What more? I even tried the Photoreading activator paraliminal, still nothing at all.
I tried Direct learning for chess which I am an avid player of, I saw that nothing improved at all
in my Game [I did not "activate" the books I "direct learnt"]
If anyone cares to read this, May you please examine it, and tell me what I am doing wrong? I am
very ready to provide any information that is not mentioned her.
I also have a couple of questions to ask, If anybody cares to answer them:
(1) If one can "Photoread at 25,000 WPM" and then spontaneously activate what is read after
training much in Photoreading [As I saw Pete on TV] then Why aren't people like Pete
on the Guinness World Records for being the fastest reader?
(2) Where is the Scientific proof for Photoreading being able to do all what it claims to do?
(3) Why don't we see Photoreaders reading hundreds of hundreds of books, If they can "cut their
reading time to its 3rd" The time I take for reading book at my speed is about 3 hours per 300 pages, at a rate of something similar to a 100-or-so pages per hour, At photoreading's claim, I should be reading at the rate of 300 pages per hour, Did this happen? Of course not, Otherwise I would have been reading right now the great classics I always wanted to read.
(4) Is there a Photoreader I can talk to, and test him, either myself or through a third-party? I
want to know how long It would take someone to, for example read any book I have read before
and that is available online, Examples? Dicken's Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two cities, Verne's Journey to the center of the Earth, 20,000 leagues under the Sea, Or If non-fiction is needed, then Kant's A critique against Pure reason, Plato's The Republic or any other book which can be tested using Multiple-Choice Questions.
