Hi all,
I purchased diamond feng shui and have looked through the material a couple of times to get a general feel for the course before starting (it looks like a lot of information).

I live with my boyfriend who has the exact opposite favorable directions than I. We just moved to a new city, gave away all of our furniture (except one bookshelf, many books, and some clothes) so we could start fresh, and are renting a downtown apartment.

I am without many good feng shui essentials such as a solid headboard, favorable colours in the bedrooms, doormat, etc., because I wanted to wait to go through the course and gather these things as I go along, preferably in the 'right' colours etc.

At this point my most pressing questions / concerns are:

1/ When applying information in this course, do I primarily work on what's best for me or do what's best for him and for me (both)? Since my boyfriend has the exact opposite direction, how do I enhance his directions without creating havoc for myself? Or does it work that way at all? (I've looked through the forum and saw stuff about stars, periods, cycles, etc but that's way over my head at this point).

2/ Colours - his or mine?

3/ Cures / Activations - colours in this direction, animals in that direction, stones/gems in another direction... I'm just afraid my apartment is going to start looking like a rainbow with an animal collection wearing jewelry scattered all over the place. Thoughts and suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel a bit overwhelmed, as if I'm standing at the bottom of Mt Everest with all this information. Thank you in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi DebC,

First, I recommend you check the facing direction of your front door. If it faces one of your personal good directions then you could position your bed that if faces one of his good directions (or the other way around, if the door faces one of his good directions, then position the bed that it faces one of your good directions) - in such a way you balance day qi and night qi.

A solid headboard is fine, if you don't have one then just make sure you're lying with your head towards a wall.

When you sit down at your table for lunch or dinner, arrange your seats that each of you faces good directions (if you're facing West and he faces East you're also looking at each other wink ).

2/ Colors - if you're looking for bedsheets, combine the colors with shapes depending on the fortune elements. For example: if your fortune element is earth and his is metal, then he would definitely profit from earth colors and shapes (just as you would). If you're benefitting from earth and he from water, you could combine water colors with square shapes - that's the idea.

3/ cures/activations - I understand your concerns completely. It' overwhelming at first and well, I do no longer place all the stuff that's recommended in the course because my home really got cluttered and from my perspective clutter has nothing to do with feng shui.

The diamond facets are not classical feng shui. Marie has been inspired to use these colors in certain directions. They work best if you use them as detailed in the Quantum Colors Course. I only place them if I want to tune into certain vibrations but I don't place them regularly.

It is nothing wrong with strengthening areas that don't belong to your good directions. If you belong to the West group, South is one of your less good directions but you will nevertheless profit from strengthening this sector as it's good for your reputation.

I use the best directions for each family member, I use general space feng shui in order to strengthen certain sectors using elements but at the same time I'm totally aware of time feng shui. I use the Diamond and the Conflict and Illness hexagrams to cure certain flying stars because I am currently checking out their effectiveness. Over the years, I have become more sensitive to energies so if these cures work, they're allowed to stay in my home wink

I also use the activation cards to get clear on what I want and I have placed them in my bedroom and office.

Now, I use feng shui as a form of acupunture for my home. Flying star feng shui is very potent if you get the period and facind direction right. With a bit of thinking you can combine activations to activate and cure the stars and at the same time strengthen general space feng shui and your good directions.

I know it's overwhelming at first. At the beginning I placed almost all the stuff that's recommended in the course and my home looked a bit like a cheap Chinese restaurant. smile Over time I discovered what really worked for me. If you don't like it, don't place it.

Just start simply with the essentials course and use your best directions. That's already really good feng shui. Then listen to all the rest and then decide what you want to place. smile

Good on ya'

Astrid,
Thanks for taking the time to share and for all the detailed information. I'll let you know how it goes. I thought my first step would be to remove all clutter. That in and of itself is a task! shocked Thank you again and take care,
Deb smile

Have fun and don't obsess, once you got the big picture, the pieces will fall into place,

Astrid
