I would also suggest to look at two books that you can find through Learning Strategies' "Recommended Reading" links: "The Sedona Method" by Hale Dwoskin, and "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie.
They both offer valuable strategies for learning to "let go" of emotional baggage, allowing ourselves to heal, start living in the present rather than wishing that our past had been different, etc.
And the beauty of it is, they're really not trying to give you a new way of "enahncing" or "fixing" or "repairing" yourself, they just lay out a gentle path for you to help you find you you really are...
Ok, I'll stop there before I sound too "converted", but check out what the Learning Strategies guys say about the books... it should make you optimistic!
