That's a very good question and viewpoint.
In 'emptiness' energy is in a state of potentials, the space between 'atoms' is filled with every possibility and ever potential state. There's some pretty abstract 'stuff' in there, sometimes you can even scare yourself. (don't worry about that though--anything you can 'see' is a part of you--and I won't go into, let's just say that I used to try to scare myself) Just flow with love, knowing nothing real can be threatened.
Due to the holographic nature of the Universe, one part, contains information about the Whole. Simply put, the Whole is Whole and one part completes the rest. Interestingly enough, Quantum Physicists have begun to realize that 'contained in the space between the nucleus of an atom and an electron' is *more information*, than all of the galaxies, stars, planets, and living beings.
Let us consider this for a moment, IF we can. There may be as many as a trillion galaxies...as we know a single galaxy may contain hundreds of billions to trillions of stars. That is a tremendous amount to even conceive of. Yet, you are a part the Whole...so there is a part of you that *can* be aware of that in it's totality--though it seems to 'shut down' conscious thinking to even try to do so.
However, the sub-conscious mind, can effortlessly conceive of it, at first when you 'attempt to realize' you 'end up' with a blurred state of Infinite Oneness, that seems too obscured to even make sense. But in your meditation, as you blend with the 'emptiness' and merge with the Universe by intending to do so...you gradually become more aware of your sub-conscious 'and what's going on in there'. For most, this doesn't happen overnight. We've spent a long while setting up our 'filters' and beliefs to solidify ourselves, and we don't accept change easily.
Mind is very, VERY powerful, in fact, outside of our filters, it has no limits. We even see that with it's infinite application, we've attempted to 'make' limits--this resulted in an ego-based thought-system of separation and scarcity. Yet, filters can be changed or gone beyond. To even imagine billions of galaxies, will connect you with them. The more you do so, the more you establish a link to that particular energy-array.
Keep in mind(pun always intended), that this is just the 'physical' Universe...there are countless dimensions of time, as well as endless higher vibrational realities--not necessarily 'greater' than the Universe we are in, it's the same Universe--just on a different frequency. What's more (and completely unbelievable to the ego-mind) is that these Infinite realities can be known as One Mind 'God', if you will.
I don't want to confuse anyone, or complicate anyone's practice--because the most wonderful, powerful things are simple. Thus I will keep them simple. Remember, there are two 'main' ways to look at 'Mind.' In the 'Higher' reality, only one of these is real of course, but both should be mentioned...
With Spirit, you can see/feel Infinity as it *IS* which is Perfectly ONE. It is smooth, flowing, loving, without conflict, and everything makes sense, there is perfect peace and the soul expands as minds join together and share their knowledge--the Self feels vast, with ever-increasing Magnitude & in awareness with this state--it is possible to 'Know God'
With ego, you 'perceive' duality through filters or beliefs seeing countless infinities, and they all seem fragmented and unrelated to each-other. It is concrete, fixed, senseless, in conflict with itself, and everything seems illusory and unreal, there is chaos and disorder, and minds shrink away as they are seen as 'separate' and hide knowledge from one-another--the self feels small, fearful and disconnected & in identifying with this state--it is impossible to know 'barely anything at all'
Thus is your meditation, as you blend with the 'emptiness' you blend with all things, remember that all of that Spiritual energy is there to help you. Don't worry about 'looking for' any specifics, or the 'infinite knowledge' that rests in that state--just flow with it and know that the energy is there with you. As you develop your link with your soul--you discover it 'without looking for it'
My response itself is philosophical and you shouldn't make it 'concrete' by expecting to instantly gain access to some other-worldly awareness, just by reading it and going into meditation. (maybe it will, I don't want to limit anyone) After all, it is merely a symbolic learning aid used for expanding your own potential beyond your current worldly limits.
