Hi antong,

Z made some good suggestions, and covered some helpful points. I'd like to add a little story and thought to the mix, since you asked...

At our annual October Learning Strategies Spring Forest Qigong 6-day retreats, we have daily, private, small-group lunches with Chunyi. During the lunch, participants are able to ask questions in a smaller group and receive more personal feedback from Chunyi.

At the very first 6-day retreat back in 2004, we had Chunyi scan each participant as they left the luncheon, and let them know what they could spend some extra time nurturing and sending healing energy during the retreat - their liver... pancreas... left side of the heart... whatever Chunyi saw.

What we found after the first two days/lunches, is that a majority of those "read" by Chunyi were talking to others about how they had a "blockage" wherever Chunyi mentioned, rather than visualize hat area as healthy, appreciated, and sending it even more balancing and healing energy during the week. Almost like their name tag changed to "Liver Blockage"..."Heart Blockage"...etc. It's no different than what most of us do with letting current or past situations be our name tag in life, rather than being in the now. It's the same reason the Paraliminal recording are so helpful, as they assist in cutting though self imposed trances and self talk that is old, is inaccurate, or doesn't serve us. So after day two, we stopped doing the "reading" by Chunyi, and focused on the importance of a healing perspective, attitude, and thoughts.

It's the same as when I assist participants learning and reviewing the healing steps of Level Two at the October 6-day retreat. When they are done, they ask their friend "Feel much better now." It's not so much a question as it is an expectation and leading -having them look for a positive shift in sensations in their body. If instead, they ask "Is your pain still there?" or "Wow, I felt this big blockage in your ____." That draws their consciousness and other-than-conscious to an energy form we just removed/balanced.

In the same way, there seems to be a natural draw of students wanting to know "what did you find?" "What did you see?" or to want to be worked on by someone who sees their deceased relatives hanging around, or cool visions and things from the session. Unless "told" by the universe, your master, etc. to share something with your friend when these things show up during the session, you bring it back to "we did a lot of great work," "your energy balanced really well," and if there is an exercise or two that can assist in strengthening their energy even more, share it.

So lets shift the "I have _____/_____ ______" to "I welcome all exercises and support for the energetic balance, health, and strengthening of my liver and kidneys." -save the diagnosis for your work with you TCM doctor. In Spring Forest Qigong we balance energy and heal, strengthen, and support each other with Love, Kindness, and forgiveness.

Much love, Shawn
