If someone is a 5 Kua number (which is Earth element) and, they are in a room with the flying star #5 (also a earth element), does the flying star still need to be cured???

It seemslike the flying star would strengthen the natural element of the Kua.

Can anyone shed light on this or assist with clarification.

Yes. You are talking about two different qualities of energy with the Personal Energy Number(PEN) and the Flying Stars. Much the same way you still activate the general Space Feng Shui in a sector even though that direction is one of your unfavorable ones in regards to your PEN.
