I had photoread the novel Dune by frank herbert about a week ago and today I tried to activate it through rapid reading. But by rapid reading I couldn't get much comprehension.Since english is my not my mother tongue , it became hard for me to comprehend unless I read in the conventional way. And it is said that photoreading, works for reading for pleasure too , but how? please give me some tips.

With respect,Samir

I suggest if you're learning the system you start with non fiction books and get the activation skills working for you. Then rapid reading is natural to do.

Purpose remains important.

Why not learn the system first on non-fiction books as recommended?

Most people just want to enjoy the time, enjoy the story of a novel, that's a valid purpose. And it doesn't really matter how long it takes does it? Who really wants to cancel their enjoyment sooner than necessary?
