Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Diamond Feng Shui Illness Star for 2012

Hi there. In regards to the Illness star in the North for 2012, I have an interesting situation... I remember reading that if an illness/disaster/conflict star falls in a kitchen/bathroom/garage, etc., then the energy of that area would deplete the star and therefore no cure was needed. However, our bedroom is directly above the kitchen, and we're sleeping in that same illness star sector! Should I put the hexagram for that star over our bed, or install a windchime somewhere in the bedroom, or is this not necessary? (I had developed a bad headache soon after the new year, but am not sure if this is coincidence, or chi trying to tell me something!)

You can usually not mess with that energy in those situations, unless you find that energy (illness in your case), showing up, in which you would then cure it, ideally on the main level of the home.

Each level of the same structure carries the same energy type, depending of the cycle of construction and the facing direction. If the affected area is a bedroom, you have to watch who occupies the room. The member of the family whose personal best directions/personal trigram are in conflict with the quadrant of the bedroom or the direction of the bed, then he/she will be more vulnerable and may be affected by annual 2 or 5.
If annual 2 or 5 (annuals are the most yang of the qi distribution and carry more potency than natal stars) happen to be in an area, then you will find also on the 2nd, 3rd floors, etc. However, to alleviate or cancel the effects of 2 or 5, you must place metal element in the area. Metal will shift down your compass needle, and the area will be cured. Kitchens or bathrooms contain in general more metal than other rooms,so these particular areas would be cured but maybe not the 2nd or 3rd floors (refer to your compass reading to know).
Placing the hexagram above your bed would then become your connection with your aspirations and the Universe, whereas your earth conditions (annual illness stars) would be taken care of....
