I have been practising qigong for a year, half hour a day but missing a day here or there. I became ill and couldnt practise for 2 weeks and when i began again. I have headaches, tight muscles and my legs feel like they tremble. Its been 2 weeks since i started again and my shoulders and neck are costantly sore and tight. I have only been practising 15 to 20 mins a day and want to increase again. Can someone help me.

It may be some toxins released after illness- drink plenty of water, fresh juice, and avoid sugars and starches. Hope that helps.

thanks for your reply. I am working on cutting out sugar in my diet now. I have had neck and muscle problems for a few years now is it possible that it gets worse before it gets better? my legs still tremble but i am persisting.

Dear Mags,

Slowly work into it. Smile, Bounce for about a minute before your exercises to relax things. Take three easy breaths and relax your shoulders so the are feel like they can sink to the floor.

Notice and relax anywhere in your body (breathing, arms, etc.) and your mind that isn't relaxed.

Get enough rest and do what you can to strengthen your kidney energy.

Much Love,

Shawn
