My reason for asking what the goal is. You need to decide what the end goal is for each piece of writing.
Chunk it down. When stuck in writing you're looking at the blank paper feeling overwhelmed because you're trying to finish it all with the first keystroke.
First make a goal what is the completed piece supposed to be about. Write a brief sentence.
Identify the parts of writing required. For example if you've read the PhotoReading book you'll notice a section on the authors train of thoughts. It goes both ways. It's one way of approaching writing as well as reading. Problems, arguments solutions and relevance. So you ask yourself questions
What are the problems. Write some keywords.
Why are the problems. Write keywords
What are the solutions - write keywords
How might this relate to the reader or myself? - write keywords.
You'll want to elaborate on those keywords.
It's easiest to write if you are answering basic questions. And the place to start writing if you're stuck on a blank page is ask a question, Easiest one being, what do they want to know? What am I going to tell them?
Go through the precision questions who, what when where why and how. Decide which ones are relevant.
If you know how to PhotoRead, do direct learning on books about writing skills.
Paraliminals to use that would be helpful
New Behavior Generator - being stuck on a blank page and feeling overwhelmed is the result of a behaviour.
Personal Genius - since you're studying and learning what you are writing about. This and the Memory Supercharger are Paraliminals that students any age find useful.
Talk to Win, For writing with more ease. Writing is talking in text.
Sales Leap Paraliminal is good for presentation skills again writing is presenting in text.
Get Around To It - when you know what you need to do but don't do it. Won't help if you are overwhelmed when you haven't given yourself a goal of "what you need to tell them"
New Option Generator - getting yourself open to ideas.
Self-Esteem Supercharger - self confidence.
And if the writing process has to date created so much anxiety that you want to quit, I recommend using Anxiety Free for at least 3 days prior to sitting down at your next attempt.
