It's a weird thing in NLP, but the use of modles is considered an intrinsic skill. It's explained in some detail in the Borrowed Genius section of "the Einstein Factor."
An interesting corelation... Edger Allen Poe observed that he could guess the mood, and even the thoughts, of a person by mirroring their posture and expression. Recently, the neurological mechanism for this was discovered... "mirror neurons." Just as there is no real seperation between the brain and the mind, there's no real seperation between the mind and the body. In other words, to bend it like Beckham, bend it like Beckman.
