If it works for you then by all means go for it. However I'd be doing that during postviewing after PhotoReading the book.
During postviewing you find trigger words or meaningful words that build your curiosity and questions. I usually find when I have 3 questions I've got enough to go right into activation. I would then cut my postviewing time short and take a moment to remember my purpose or check how it's now changed and begin activation.
