Something I remember is that I can refocus my vision at will so that everything becomes a blur. I can refocus any time I wish.

I wonder if this is the photofocus state. Certainly, in this state I use, I can see a duplicate of the page I'm photoreading. Is this the cocktail weenie effect?

You don't blur your vision deliberately you alter the awareness of your focus. Instead of focusing on the object right in front of you you look further away. This triggers your peripheral vision.

The peripheral vision works with the preconscious processor.

If you've been PhotoReading for a while you may discover that the text becomes even sharper and clearer than normal focus.
