Like the other posters stated, you definitely need to have a solid purpose.
Also, you'll want to get your hands on as many IQ tests with test answers as possible. Bergman IQ test is good as well as Miller Analogies and Standford Binet IQ tests. Google can give you a ton of IQ tests that you can download from various sites for free.
I am currently going to take the Mensa IQ test sometime this year, so I have been photoreading a bunch of pdf's of IQ tests over and over. The more you photoread and active the more comfortable and familiar the information will be.
Plus, with repeated photoreading of the IQ tests, you train your brain to think in that IQ test pattern that all IQ tests tend to have. So it will make it easier for you. Goodluck.
