Do you mean that with practice instead of seeing a blur everything will become clear when photofocusing? (in general I'm not refering specifically to books)
Noticing more with your peripheral vision is similar to photo focus. Although most thing seem closer and sharper with photofocus after you've trained the eyes to get into that state.

Yes and no. It may never become clear for people with some form of vision problem. That doesn't affect the PhotoReading skill it just means if you need glasses and PhotoRead with them on it may hold your peripheral focus to the limit of the lenses. That doesn't affect one's PhotoReading skill, it just means that playing with magic eye images continues to take longer to get that really nice clarity that those without vision problems seem to achieve easily enough.
