Annie, quite simply, don't beat yourself up. Even the most experienced meditators find their minds wandering at one time or another. This is where the concept of not grasping comes in. When you eventually "catch" your mind wandering - simply acknowledge it (without getting caught up in what you are thinking about) and then let it go. By getting annoyed, you are actually feeding more and more of your internal resources into a state that takes you further away from your goal. So relax, enjoy the session, gently acknowledge when your mind wanders and let it go. When I first started, I found I had to do this quite a bit, but,like developing a new habit - it does get easier as you do it more and more. Also keep in mind that even when your mind wanders, you are still benefiting from listening to the paraliminals.
