Hi,
I am just starting with SFQ and feel very inspired by reading people's experiences. I have 2 questions and hope someone can answer them for me:

1. In the Small Universe meditation Master Lin uses 2 healing sounds Ommm and Mooo. I also practice Transcendental Meditation (I leave ample time between the 2) but in the Vedic tradition of knowledge women are advised never to repeat the Om sound in meditation. It is only for men and preferably for monks, not householders. So my question is: Is it ok to practice Small Universe in silence, just using the correct breathing and visualization of energy moving thru the orbit, as Master Lin guides us to do? Can one use a different healing sound as a replacement?

2. My second question is:
When we visualize that "sicknesses are leaving the body" in Self-Concentration or in Active exercises, should we focus on 1 major health problem at a time (say Lyme's disease) or all the problems we want to heal? I assume one would see results faster if focusing on just one major health issue at a time..or is it that Qi activation wipes away multiple ilnesses at once, regardless of our main conscious focus? I would like to know what Master Lin recommends in that regard. How did the people in those amazing healing testimonials do their visualization? Is it enough to imagine the sickness leaving in form of a smoke or do we also need to visualize the organ being healthy again?

I would be grateful for any clarification you may be able to provide. Greetings from Netherlands :-).

Good questions, Amalaki.

1. In the small universe, you are not making the sounds, Master Lin is, and you are hearing/feeling the vibration of that sound(s) in each area.

2.During those exercises and that mediation, it's the excess energy from all over the body, turning into smoke and leaving. If you use the Self-concentration exercise as a model, you can take time during any art of your day and visualize a specific area bringing in healing energy with each breath, and thanking the excess energy there, turning it into smoke and seeing it go back to the universe to be reused at a better time, place, or speed.

Much Love,

I quite enjoy making the sounds while performing the meditation without the recording. I feel it helps and you can feel the vibration.

I'm guessing this is ok ?

Hi Jazz,

Maybe you have Didgeridoo skills where you can breathe in as you make a sound. wink

I imagine and feel/remember the vibration of the sound when I doing the small universe without the guided audio, as it's set up to be inhaling, bringing in universal energy through all the pores in your skin and cells in your body as you are hearing the sound.

Much Love,

Shawn

I've been breathing the energy into the point then make the sound when exhaling. This is how it's done on the tape...

You are visualising the energy moving into the point then intensifying the energy on the exhale when making the noise altenating between the the different mantras.

The inhale moves the energy while the exhale intensifies it at that point

At least this is how I interpreted it ? It feels good that way anyway...

I find the tape moves at such a high pace it is hard to follow..

I've just listened to the track again. The sound is on the inhalation. So as you say it would be hard to make a sound while inhaling.

I just really found it beneficial making the sound on the exhale. It seemed to vibrate throughout the whole body.

It felt more natural. Probably similar to a martial artist making a sound while exhaling during a strike (Ki sound).
