Hi folks,
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum...

I was wondering if there are any paraliminal cd's to discover one's true purpose in life and more importantly staying aligned to living that purpose each day.
I keep getting questions like what're my unique qualities and what is that Nature expects to carry out through me??

Hi there,

You seem to be looking for the exact same thing I am. (See my earlier post) It only took me a lot more words to try to explain what it was... Please let me know if you do find out!

Love, Angelina

Try the Dream Play Paraliminal CD. I bet your inner mind already has the answer, and this should help bring the information to your conscious mind.

Another method is to use the PR technique (step 3) on a book. I don't think the choice of book is important, but it might help if you use a book related to careers or life choices. Use something like the following for your purpose:
- "What life decisions will bring me happiness?"
- "What is my purpose in life?"
- "How do I find my purpose?"

Choose What or How questions that seem best for you.

Focus on the technique and stay relaxed when you do step 3 with the book. Flip it over and PR it backwards/upside down. Repeat as needed for up to 30 minutes. Notice any emotions/feelings that arise while PR-ing.

When you go to sleep, tell yourself that you will have a clear indication of your life purpose by the time you wake up. (Use the DreamPlay CD if you want.)

Notice and Own the results. Play with it and Stick with it.

HI Selfdiscovery..

I'm 64 years old & have discovered that my life's purpose was more than just 1 thing..I've also discovered when I had finished one purpose next one came to me...If I pushed to make something happen it might happen but it never felt...If it just came to me ( like an unexpected job offer, a man I didn't know asked for a date ( been married 43 years & still love each other) some one mentionded school I should see ( became a member) these things just seemed to fall into place through no effort of mine..I think because I was where I was suppose to be and open to the fact that there are many paths that take one home..
Hope I didn't go on too much..but I understand your quest & frustration, as I've felt that also..
Love,
Grannit Annie

HI Self Discovery
I had one more thought about life's purpose & I thought I would pass it on to you & than I'll let everyone else give you thier advise..I think the only person who can tell you what your purpose is, is you! No-one else knows your purpose as well as you do..maybe not consiously, but somewhere in your inner self there is the knowledge you seek. Ever try to remember something in the past, or a name, but the harder you tried the less you could remember..finally you just let it go & decided to think about something else..then, lo and behold...the name just jumped into your mind...sometimes we work so hard trying to find our life's purpose that we never learn that we are living it...that we are just where we are supposed to be at this particular time..Sometimes one's only life's purpose is to lear the expression of unconditional love, or to live in the moment..it doesn't have to be an earth shattering purpose, just your purpose for being..
love

Hi All,

Great topic and all of you made some good suggestions in order to find one’s life purpose.

I was thinking more about what prevents one from finding one’s life purpose? From my experience and what I noticed around me is the following.

1) From an early age most of us are constantly encouraged to fulfil someone
else’s expectation. So we are trying to please our mom in order to get her
approval. Later then the teacher, mate, friends, boss and who else’s.

This means we think what kind of behaviour will make for instance my mom happy rather then to do what makes us happy. So the game goes on.

2) Later we select a profession because it’s “in” and has a high prestige value
rather then to select a profession we like. This even often applies to the
selection of a partner.

Of course the media encourages such an attitude to do what is “cool”
rather then what may not be “cool” but what we like.

Note: I wonder who set’s the standard of what is cool and not?
Perhaps some in the background pushes the bottom an we jerk.

The way out of it is was some of you already recommended. I would also add
meditation and concentration to it.

Cheers,

To Angelina and Self discovery,

I realise that what you are both going through is quite unpleasant. To be in that state is not a joke. These are just some tips that I can give from being in a similar position some time ago:

1. Think in terms of projects, not one big purpose. You can choose projects you like and work on them, no matter how small. Coaxing yourself into little projects helps a lot.

2. Use pen & paper or your computer a lot to jot down your desires, something is probably giving you an inner nagging, try find out what it is.

3. Draw mindmaps to brainstorm what you want in life, develop little seeds of plans for each one, maybe 3-5 steps for each one, expand on the plans you like. See if they suit you.

4. Nurture your desires, the one that is nagging you wants expression, don't ignore it. Sometimes we stop in life because there is something that is important to us, it could be quite obvious.

5. Ask yourself questions (the absolute worst and the absolute best) to find the edges of your stuck states like:
-If I had all the money in the world what would I do?
-What's the most naughtiest evil rotten scoundrel thing I want to do? (remember these are just questions to try to wake you up, and shouldn't be acted upon, something good could be hidden along with the bad!)
-What do I fear the most about doing the worst?
-What's the most saintly noble generous and charitable thing I want to do?
-What do I fear the most about doing ...?
-How much fun can I have in one day? What would I do?
-If I really applied myself what is the best I could do?
-How can I be totally selfish?
-How can I be totally unselfish?
-How can I be a silly idiot?
-How can I be good?
-How can I be bad?
-What's the most expensive thing I could possibly want?
-What's the worst that would happen if I didn't achieve...?
-

Find out what is at the end of your extremes by asking questions like this. Your questions may be very different to the ones I've listed.

Thinking in terms of one big purpose is so limiting, and this is probably what you are both screaming at, because the real you wants a lot more than to be nailed down.

Angelina, it seems you have the tendency to want to do it all on one hand and a tendency to think very narrowly in terms of one path on the other hand, your answer is outside of those two options.
Try New Option Generator.

Something like this:

In one hand you hold:
Wanting to do it all / a lot.
Fearing not having a main purpose.

In the other hand you hold:
Wanting to have one purpose and meaning in life.
Fearing being limited.

The times you are both going through will probably make you your own best friend.

Hi,
One way that might help is to keep a scrapbook. Every day cut a picture or article out of a magazine of something that says something to your heart and mind. Then write underneath your article what you think and what you feel about it. If you're dealing with a book's passage and you don't want to cut a page out of it, then write a summary of what it says (paying CLOSE attention to making your summary accurate), where precisely the book passage is, and then write down what you think and feel about it. Over the months that follow, look for commonalities in the various articles or pictures that appealed to you. That's one way of finding out what your purpose is!
best always, Mike
