HI All
Throughout my life I've had dreams of looking at myself (I knew it was me even though I didn't look like I do now & once was a man}in different centuries, different countries, even back to the Durid period..would seem to suggest past lives..I was wondering if anyone had ever used dream play to have a dream about a past life or if it is even a good idea to do so...

Hi Annie, I've had same kind of feelings and images... I've "been" both male and female, in old costumes and known that it's the beginning of 20th century or middle of 19th century etc. At the same time I know it's me and not me. I have the feelings and memories of that person but I know these things have not happened to me. I know these experiences suggest reincarnation, but to me these images are more likely memories from my ancestors. According to my opinion, children at a very early stage of their development are very good mindreaders. They can not even separate themselves from their parents. So the memories of parents can be absorbed by the child (it's called learning ;-). And the parent can have his/her parents memories in his/her system, so the child can absorb these also! It sounds plausible, and I feel it's right. Of course my point of view leaves the other options open. -purjo

HI Purjo Your theory is sound, but I think it may not be the best in all situations..I've never had a dream of being an American Indian, or a person in Scotland, Germany, or France...that is my ancestory...I have had dreams of being in China, Spain, Druid times, a Field slave in Carolina,and an English woman...all in different centuries.. I'm not sure the ancestors work in my case.. But,as with all things, there are often 2 explanations that work when dealing with the metaphysical.. Thanks, Grannie Annie

Everyone in your dream is your creation or you. If it is your interest to check out history using dreamplay my answer is try it and see. We all have different interests and we don't always know if anyone visiting the forum has tested it but there is always a first time. Have fun with it. Alex

Hi Annie, I reread your post and noticed there's a difference: You are different historical persons in dreams and I'm more or less in the waking state (yeah, they say we walk through our lives in different kinds of trances, this must be one of mine ;-). So I guess the explanations are different also. -purjo

Hi Grannie Annie and everyone else Throughout my life I’ve not only have dreams, I also have had many “waking glimpses”, as I call it, of different lives in a flash of a millisecond an understanding of a whole scene much more detailed then waking up from the same. My wife and I have discussed our other times together as well as with other souls. I explained to her how thoughts of other lives together and with others yes we came to the understanding that we have been male and female introspectively she M/Fm me M/Fm. We met in 1998 and the subject of past lives came up, she was very interested and I talked about what I knew then why her why was she so interested in past lives? Adding everything we are now is the result of our own actions and thoughts besides this is where we are living now. Too many people try too much to see that some visions are concocted from our desire to see something, as for myself, I do not care to look back but when I least expect it I get a clear glimpse of them I just let them go and let them flow, I get a lot more out of that but that’s just me. LOL And in the past couple of years meditating together I told her that last time she was my teacher, now she’s testing me seeing if I can apply what I’ve learned.  Johnnymoon51

Thanks Jonnymoon51, It helps to know others have had flashbacks also... WhenI have a dream that seems to relate to a past life, I soon meet someone I seemed to have known all my life. Occasionally I will see the image of the pastlife person superimposed like a film over the new aquaintance...Until I've done whatever I've needed to do for them Or they for me..Has that ever happened to you? I just wondered if Dream Play would enable one to recall a past life that I haven't been able to understand because I didn't see enough of that life in my dream.. Thanks,
