Hi Angelina
I am currently going through the ending of a 9 year relationship. I know that is not the same thing as having someone die; yet I still feel the change as a great loss in my life. When I am feeling overwhelmed by the feelings, or sad about the breakup, I use the Positive Relationships paraliminal. I find that after I listen to it I feel less sad or hurt or angry. I know it is working because I recognize I am handling my feelings better after I listen to it.
Others are noticing that I am not crying all the time or depressed and I am doing things I enjoy doing and can talk of fun I am having in my life in spite of the hurtful and sad changes.
I have a great deal of gratitude to Paul Scheele and Learning Strategies for this particular paraliminal.
I also use this paraliminal when something triggers the sadness I still hold over the loss of my cat, Carl Smith. He died a little over a year ago but sometimes the grief will reemerge. Then Positive Relationships helps me to remember the positive parts of having people (or cats) in my life that I love dearly....even though the relationships change.
Hope this makes sense and is helpful to you.
I think, too, after reading this thread I will try some of the other paraliminals suggested.
My wish for you is that in time you are able to allow the memories of loving to be bigger than the pain of the loss.....
Blessings
Nickie
