This is not Alex but Photoread4me. A little disbelief in activation? So you are giving yourself permission to program your mind for failure & blame activation as the excuse for not passing an exam?
A couple of suggestions. Not a good idea to try to master photoreading with schoolwork. Master photoreading with simple books that have nothing to do with school. After you have successfully activated 20 simple books (again simple books that have absolutely nothing to do with schoolwork)then start using photoreading on books related to school. It has been said that after photoreading you will have little if any conscious comprehension of what you just photoread. If that is the case why in the world would you not want to have as much conscious comprehension of the book as possible? Especially if it is a book from school preparing your for an important examination. And how do you get that information from the book into your conscious mind? You get that information to your conscious mind through activation. Yes activation which involves your purpose and getting the answers to your questions through superreading and dipping and skittering. That is why you superread and dip so you can get the answers to your questions.
When you want to recall 80 to 90% of the words answers in the book? Did you not read the photoreading book? Don't you remember where Paul Scheele talks about the 80/20 rule and how 80% of the book is fluff and the real crucial information is 20%.
Photoreading is not about developing a photographic memory. From the way your posts sounds it sounds like you want almost 100% comprehension of the book which is unrealistic your expectation are out of whack and not realistic.
You say you have a BIG EXAM well if you want to be successful in that BIG EXAM if I were you I would being multiple many,many,many activation sessions many many many superreading and dipping and skittering and mindmaps and I would keep the superreading activations sessions to 20 minutes a session with 5 to 7 minutes breaks after each activation. Be advised that textbooks from school are more complex and require more time for activation than regular books. An experienced photoreader could probably go through a complex textbook which normally would require 90 hours regular reading the photoreader could probably go through the same textbook in 30 hours instead of 90 hours. The experienced photoreader could probably do the book in 1/3 the time it would have taken someone else reading the book regular reading.
