You never merely want to recall information as it's written in a book. You want it added to your personal memory web. To own information. Only 11% of a page or book carries meaning that is relevant to a person. And that can change each time you view the book.

The activation techniques alone will improve comprehension because it applies techniques of thinking about what you are reading and how it's meaningful for you.

The PhotoReading step makes it easier and faster to attain that conscious comprehension because the information is already being processed and owned by you.

Many readers, not just beginners. assume they are capable of 90% comprehension. Not so. Since reading is personal everyone gets something different from a book. If everyone got the same there would be no purpose in discussing books, as in book clubs.

And that is the affects your comprehension. How much you are into the story, subject, authors style and mood of the writing.

If tested a couple of days after reading a book most traditional would fail to have 40% comprehension. Yes I was one of those who thought they were a good reader because I scored well on comprehension test usually done immediately after reading something. But if you asked me about a book I read a week after I read it O.O [War and Peace... It was about Russia?]

After PhotoReading book and activating them. Not only do I spend less time with a book I also can talk to you about a book a week or a month after I read it as it relates to me and what importance I assigned to the information.

Remember relevance. Just because someone scored 90% on a test and someone else scored only 65% is because the first person had similar goals and expectation from the text as the author of the comprehension questions.

In my view its wrong to consider the person who only got 65% a poor student. The test only proves that the second person has other goals other priorities and simply isn't in the same mould as the author in their thinking.

And that my friend is a good thing. People think outside the square bring new thoughts and ideals to creation. They don't just conform in their thinking.

It is one reason why comprehension tests are not scientific data. And why they are usually done immediately after reading. Although one rule my 5 grade teacher tried to teach me.... Read All the Questions First and why the smartest kid in my class, always got a laugh asking, "will this be on the test." If we understood the secret we would have paid attention.

From your questions Your purpose seems to be to know who has benefited from using the PhotoReading system and how... so that I can tell this information to...

If you want to learn HOW to PhotoRead. The purpose would be. What is the PhotoReading process / system and how to I apply it so that I can get my reading done faster and get the information I need in that moment.

If you have questions your purpose is simple, to find the answers so that I can answer the questions correctly.

When the questions haven't been formed. Your purpose forms your questions. You'll get different information from the same book if your purpose is to pass a test or to have information that will impress the boss at a promotion interview.

That's why I keeps saying, what's your purpose?
