It all comes down to your purpose and what do you want to get from the book.
You can waste a lot of time trying to prove that photoreading does not work or does work. I have seen people post on this website that they want proof that photoreading works or they want to see how a successful photoreader uses the system then they will go ahead and learn photoreading.
But in the end this is something you must do for yourself. Alex or I or any of the great photoreaders on this website are willing to help but we cannot hold your hand for you or attempt to do your thinking for you. You have to do your own thinking and you need to experience the process for yourself.
How do you ask questions to activate? That depends on your purpose. Why are you reading the book? Why do you need this information from the book?
If 80% of the book is fluff why would you waste your time going over information that you would not need. Wouldn't you rather spend your time getting the most important 20% of the book that is crucial rather than just fluff.
I do not care if you have a calculus textbook in front of you or you have a biology textbook in front of you or a textbook on engineering in front of you the human brain is more than capable of handling it all. That is what is so empowering about photoreading that with photoreading you can take a book and make it your own.
I keep seeing these posts from you and others and people share how they have to have 90% of the book for an examination. The reality is that you do not need 90% from the book you need 20% of the most important information in the book.
