Your so called shallow purpose doesn't really sound like a purpose. So you just want to get rid of advanced reading techniques and strategies and employ ineffective, inefficient elementary reading You want to get it all on the first past.
Remember in the Photoreading book Paul Scheele discusses why the elementary reading is ineffective.
