Hi!

Well, as there's a part of the topic in front of my screen I can only hope I'm typing sometjing readable but can't check it because of severe fluffiness.
Anyway, when I sit down to listen to a paraliminal my cats immediately take advantage of the situation and jump on my lap. Ofcourse they distract me a bit by doing so. Does that make the paraliminals less effective? I think that when they're on my lap part of me is focused on the outside, on them and not on the inside as Paul usually says it should be.
This may be a bit of an odd question but I was just wondering about it anyway.

Love, Ange

You might notice the surface you're resting one...or you might notice a surface resting on you.

If it distracts you then yes, it distracts you.
If you are normally okay with the cat why not just be okay with it while listening to a Paraliminal. It is just a matter of choice. A part of you is always focused on outside to keep you safe. If you have pets a part of you needs to be aware of what they are up to while you have your eyes close. When the cat gets in you lap you might notice their alpha purrrr. It can be very relaxing so you could take advantage of their company if they are peacefully there, In a sense they become your security system while you have your eyes closed. If the become alarmed and move off your lap you have an earlier warning tha if you relied on your senses to reach further out.

Naturally if they are patting your nose, constantly swaping which one gets the privvy of your lap while you're listening to Paraliminals it would make more sense to move yourself behind a closed door where they won't disturb you for 20 to 25 minutes.

Alpha purr??? What exactly is that?
It'd really be a lot quieter with no closed door between me and my cats....
But I hadn't looked at them as a, be it hairy, security system. That might really help me relax even more. Thanx!

"You might notice the surface you're resting one...or you might notice a surface resting on you"; Paul should really use this in his opening talk on the CD'S!!!

Let the fur fly!!
Love, Angie

PS. Anybody else here has cats?

Angelina

I have two cats. One is about 1 1/2 years old. The other is about 5 years old and he loves it when I listen to Paraliminals and when I do Spring Forrest Qigong. Even with the active exercises in Qigong, Goose (the 5 year old) will come and sit really near me while I do them. His relaxed presence lets me know I have relaxed. I have a papasan chair that I like to sit in when I listen to paraliminals and soon after the beginning of the paraliminal, I have both cats with me on the chair. They seem to benefit too because we will all sit together for a while after the paraliminal is finished. I love the company and they seem to love the energy benefits.

Blessings
Nickie
