I unnderstand flow of energy and why one is asked to uncross their legs but what is it about thumbs not touching? Is there an energy point in the thumbs?

Hubby and I are just curious.

Hello

I think in a part is to aid better relaxation, yet also to minimize, creating any negative stimulus response patterning, that might or might not occur, in thinking about anything negative, which if your working on such stuff, is not the best stuff to anchor for.

I think in part is why, or at least one possibility.

Think about a wonderful experience, now at its peek press your finger and thumb together. Do this a few times; now go for a little walk around the house. Now press your finger and thumb together, now in most cases, you will feel your wonderful feeling, yet if you happen to do this with your not so good stuff, then I am guessing, your might anchor your not so good stuff.

Be well stand tall learn fast.

They can become a distraction. When you get really relaxed they feel like they have drifted apart and your attention goes to them. Also when you do manage to get your thumbs touching you're not in a position that allows you to relax fully.

We both catch ourselves folding our hands during the listening and have to remind ourselves to undo them - same with crossing our legs/ankles - so it would seem that keeping them uncrossed is distracting us also. Both of us agree that crossed ankles and folded hands in lap is more comfortable.

After a while the pressure where they are crossed will cause you to move.

One of the significant things to remember when you set out to listen to a Paraliminal. The desire to cross your limbs at the beginning of the listening session is often a sign that you are somewhat closed or doubtful of the outcome. (body language) So uncrossing at the beginning might feel uncomfortable because you feel yourself too open. Consciously trying to maintain an open posture is an saying I'm going to give this a chance. And yes it will feel uncomfortable at first. If you're sitting use an armrest. If the arms feel too far apart prop them with a pillow or cushion.

An open posture will allow much faster changes with the Paraliminals.
