Sorry if this is answered in the tape course but I couldn't find the answer anywhere!! Firstly, must you debrief if you are only imagestreaming for fun/practice to get the benefits from it, if you have no intention of interpreting it? Secondly, is it necessary to write down everything in as much detail as possible, or would a quick mind map of the important details be enough? Because at the moment, debriefing is taking far longer than the actualy image streaming process, although I must say the benefits of it have been amazing.

I apologize for the delayed response on this!

If you do not debrief, especially by telling it out loud, you are losing some of the benefits of Image Streaming.

I would use mind mapping as notes to remember what happened in your Image Streaming session.

Use a recorder as you are image streaming. Or better yet, a live person. Then do mind maps while listening to the recording.

The benefits include increasing awareness, intuition, and finding answers. Debriefing is important because this is where you begin to find answers to your questions through interpreting your Image Stream. Again, supporting both parts of the brain. Some people tend to consider speaking your Image Stream aloud and asking questions later on as the debriefing process, because they go hand in hand, but debriefing refers specifically to the interpretion of your Image Stream experience and perceptions. A great way to answer this question is to try it with and without debriefing and see what you get out of it.

Another way to put it...While you are Image Streaming you are not supposed to be analyzing or connecting or interpreting the sensory images. You just want to be in the Image Stream. So, to get further insight, and answers, you want to go back and analyze.
