Thanks for posting.
I have a suggestion for...
quote:
"I'm still tring to imagine what my experience would be if I did't have these types of thoughts."
Work through them one by one using the Inquiry Process for now I know of no faster way to start knocking them out but it's amazing how just doing one can start helping you to see who you would be without the thought.
It's easier when the process is done on a person other than yourself but sometimes we feel our thoughts are our own problem and the real fault, they are but that way they are also difficult to deal with.
People tend to be our mirrors sometimes we see the fault in others or other times we don't really notice that we are giving ourselves clues. We say things like I get really annoyed when so and so asks me what I want for dinner out as soon as I walk in. Many of us would reason that it's not them that is the problem here it it I who have a probem. It's not an unreasonable question. So we reason where not really annoyed with them we tired from a long days work, just want to unwind for a few minutes, and then get to that. We don't do an Inquiry Process because we have decided "they are not the problem".
Ironically that is one interesting and thought provoking thing to do an Inquiry Process on, Since they pushed the button do an Inquiry Process.
The Inquiry Process isn't about blame it's about uncoving your thinking that is keeping you locked away from the realisation... "Who would you be without that thought?"
A couple of weeks ago I went through a phase where I felt unproductive I couldn't figure out what was going on. A friend of mine who had moved interstate kept popping up in my thoughts, they were not annoyed thoughts, the move made no difference to the friendship or contact I would have with him anyway. Frankly I could not see a connection but since he was in my thoughts and I wasn't doing anything productive. I decided to do an Inquiry Process. Even when I answered the first base question I as I was writing I knew it wasn't an absolute truth but it was sometimes true. So I did the whole process.
It helped me to pinpoint what was the reason for my lack of productiveness once I saw it it was easy enough to fix and the phase ended with the Inquiry Process. But I did feel I had to exaggerate annoyance/dissapointment in this other person because he only kept popping up in my mind a lot while I was being unproductive.
