I need to understand this complex process on a conscious level. I have been told that the key to change lies in accepting resistance. Apparently, by accepting one's resistance as a reality in 'personal change' we stop fighting it and thereby diminish its power. So by not fighting our resistance we deny it the power that stops us moving forward. I also have the notion that living in the NOW rather than the 'future' or the 'past' provides a more 'can do'approach rather than delaying action. As you can gather there is some confusion in my thinking. I would appreciate Forum members thoughts on accepting resistance.
