I am going to paint a room that falls in E and SE. The back door of our home also enters into this room, which is actually a sun porch.

My husband's fortune element is Earth. My fortune element is water.

I wonder if there is a color that is good for both of us? I often have this question. Here are my thoughts on this SE room:

If I paint it a yellow, we could perhaps call it fire, which supports Earth. And we could perhaps also call it gold, which supports Water. What do you think?

Or should I paint it a light green, for the wood element of the E and SE. Will the fire burn the wood? Will the metal cut the wood? This is driving me crazy. Help.

If that's not an option, look at the space feng shui attributes for the area (like wood for the E and SE). For personal fortune elements use furniture, pillows, rugs, etc. Alternatively you can paint in a neutral off-white and decorate with appropriate colors.
