One thing that is confusing me is that when they list the colors for earth, they list earth tones: yellow, orange, rose, brown, red, beige. However, when they list the colors for fire they list fire colors: red, orange, yellow, purple, rose, ruby, cherry red, fuchsia, magenta.

It seems like three of these colors overlap: yellow, orange, red. I know that fire produces earth, so are they saying that whenever you need earth colors, just use fire colors because they produce earth?

Thanks for any help.

Example of earth tones: http://www.judithellensanders.com/images%5Cearth_tones_t.gif

They are a little more dull than the fire tones, which tend to be bright and more lively.
