I have finally managed to get hold of some real lucky bamboo plants, so can now use the real thing rather than pictures. However, I am confused.

Marie usually specifies four stems for the bamboo plant, but the information sheet I received with the bamboo gives the following information:

"... three stalks attract happiness, five stalks attract wealth, seven stalks result in good health, twenty one stalks offer a very powerful all-purpose blessing."

Right now, I could do with improving my health, but am wary of putting a seven-stem plant in my personal health direction in case that might be the wrong thing to do. I am also looking to give some of the bamboo to a couple of friends as I have 100 stems (I had to purchase them from the US, the UK being apparently devoid of such things at a reasonable cost) and was wondering how accurate the information is concerning the 21 stems being auspicious for that.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Kind regards to all

Cheryl-Anne

Very interesting about the bamboo, this plant is generally know to be lucky. I'm curious about the information sheet you received. I have a couple of bamboo plants, they're more than 4 stems as Marie suggest. I have 1 placed in the east area of the living room and another in the north area of the living room. So, now I'm thinking maybe I should separate the stalks. Hmm,,,

aloha Cheryl-Anne,

Marie likes 4 because that is the number that is connected with “Small Wood” (Nine Directions Chart).

There are a lot of different thoughts regarding bamboo stalks in other feng shui systems, cultural beliefs, as well as a bunch of retailers retailers looking for a way to sell more bamboo.

Your best bet is to decide on what system you are going to participate in and do so.

Best,

Shawn
