I was apartment hunting and looked at a very nice townhouse apartment that had a split level floor plan. Are there any feng shui problems associated with this type of architecture? I seem to recall something on the CDs about split stairways or split levels, but I don't remember which CD it was on.

From what I got from level 1, you can work with almost any house plan. Marie gave examples of people that lived in very tiny spaces such as a one room apartment that made very small changes such as tilting a couch a few inches that got results. When she talked about stairwells, it was mostly about how different types of stairways would have rushing chi and the negative affects that it could have...I would recommend referring back to the the course. Good luck, and I hope that helps.

Aloha TC68,

The challenge with split levels is to keep the initial energy from running downstairs and not the mail living floor. Direct the person's attention and Qi to the main level.
