If I decide not to cure a room that has a disaster star, will this energy 'fly' into other rooms or stay in its local space direction like the South?

That energy resides and should be cured in the area determined by the bagua diagram you create for your specific space. It doesn't fly to another area, but as with any energetic frequency, the emanations can be felt and integrated in a way that extends beyond the origination point. I would NOT leave a disaster star uncured.
