Can anyone tell me the best way to turn the pages when photoreading - I seem to get myself in a right muddle !

Start slowly and work up your speed. When you fumble slow down and work back up again. Books with thin pages, such as Bibles, can be frustrating--but with patience, anything is possible.

I tend to use my index finger to pick up a page and guide it across. My thumb touches the page at the beginning of the flip and my little finger at the end of the flip.

Where do you place your index finger to turn the page - is it in the middle of the page, the top of the page or from a corner.

I tried to turn pages from the top of the page (in the middle of that page). I am still struggling to turn pages - not only that but I obscure what I am supposed to be photoreading.

Can you please offer more suggestions.

I start with my index finger on the top edge of the upper right hand corner of the page. As it slips behind the page, my thumb comes up on the front to help it across.

Unless you are obscuring a really big block of text for the entire moment that you are PhotoReading the page, you probably don't need to worry about missing out. Also, since my index finger was starting to get a little raw from turning pages, I just went to the stationery store and bought a couple of those rubber fingertip covers that postal and clerical workers use. I got one for my thumb and one for my index finger. They take a few minutes to get used to , but so far they are an improvement.
