A label carries a lot of judgement with it. You are trying to fully experience the feelings without the conscious mind influencing or limiting your experience.
I would think that seeing is alright. Hearing the feeling is find too, so long as your not hearing words originating in your mind.
Don't worry about it if you do some labelling or talking / describing it to yourself. It not wrong. It's just a good - better - best thing. If I find myself labelling or verbally describing, I just smile at myself and try and just feel it.
Everybody is different, and each time is not like the last. What you do with each feeling exercise is absolutely perfect... for you.
You are perfection.

You let og of any labels, history or associations. Stick to steps 1 2 and 3 for a while, till your comforatble with really feeling the feeling. Then try the advancet Geeling Exercise from time to time.

So every feeling has a power you have to reclaim it.I think this is the pupose of the feeling exercise.

I can't help smiling. Emotions are not a problem. At least for me, emotions are just a message or guidance from my whole mind.
If someone feels that emotions are a problem, I would recommend that they apply the Inquiry process to that belief. I would suggest that this belief is a Trance that will limit ones ability to fully experience life.
The feeling exercise is a great method to discouver that our feelings, physical and emotional, are gifts of informations to us. They are guidance to help us live life fully. It may take a while to change from one method of relating to your feelings to this more liberating attitude, but it is well worth process.

I read Patent's book, "You Can Have It All" and found it complemented AFL course excellently as I go through course a 2nd time. But I found no references to Feeling Exercise in it.
Thanks!
