does anyone here know any methods that you can use to assist in the development of your personal written \ literary skills?

I am a young aspiring writer and wondering what advice is out there. Are there any tapes on Learning Strategies Corporation that would be helpful? I'm currently looking at Million Dollar Vocabulary and Four Powers for Greatness. Any thoughts? All comments are much appreciated.

Personal Genius is great for getting into the flow state for writing.

New Behavior Generator for pulling on the behaviors of a writer.

Prosperty, too.

But the best is PhotoReading. I remember a mystery writer who had been sending chapters to his agent after four, five, or six drafts. When he learned PhotoReading, he PhotoRead mystery books before writing, and soon he was submitting chapters to his agent after one or two drafts. It significantly improved his writing.

We also had a romance novelist who wrote under several names. She said PhotoReading kept your creative juices flowing.

Some suggestions:

- Clustering (Gabriele L. Rico)
- MindMapping
- Write, Write, Write
- Read, Read, Read
- Live your life to the fullest
- Direct Learning on How-to books
- PhotoReading on books/authors you admire
- New Behaviour Generator to model any writer you admire
- "Zen in the Art of Writing" by Ray Bradbury

Have Fun!
