I had a few questions about overwhelm - whether listening to paraliminals can produce overwhelm? What are usually the symptoms of overwhelm? Could they also cause an increase (temporary) in the intensity of feelings and emotions which one is trying to change by using the prarliminals? Could it be the ego that is fighting to prevent the change one is trying to achieve?

Thanks in advance for your reponses.

What good would looking for symptoms and trying to label it do?

It's not "overwhelm." It has nothing to do with your ego.

Just treat it like you'd treat confusion or overstimulation. Back off, relax, take a calm look at things, and decide what you're going to do.

You don't need a contrived explanation about it.

Hi Babayada,

Thenks for your reply. I agree with you that over-intellectualizing does not really help, but it is nice to have a roadmap to understand what one could be going through, and one's progress.

With a hint of what could be happening, one could for example, say, 'I am definitely progressing, though it is not the way I expected; maybe it is time to release these feelings which are only temporary, after which I will surely get back on track'...

InquiringMind;

What you are descibing doesn't seem like overwhelm to me but more like "growth" and your body/brain is adjusting to this new stimulation.

If by doing the Paraliminals and not waiting at least 20 minutes between them or doing alot of them everyday you could put yourself in overwhelm. All things in moderation.

Hope that is of some help.

Jeff

Not having such a label, however, frees you to experience things without having the label in the way, that is ... responding with spontaneity and learning from what actually is rather than only what the filter of an idea will allow into your awareness.

It's more confusing and uncomfortable, maybe, but it can be more rewarding.
