I just started PRing about two months ago. So far, I don't really feel like I'm getting very much comprehension, or saving much time as opposed to regular reading. Basically, I just read along to the tapes and do what Paul says. I was enthusiastic at first, but lately I've been sort of reverting back to regular reading. I was wondering if you have any tips for breaking the initial plateau in the PR learning curve?
I am better now at maintaining a blip page, but I still find myself getting distracted. Especially during Activation. My other problem is that I go to slow. The other day I went through 17 pages in 10 minutes during activation, but with minimal comprehension. This left about 70 pages to read. Should I go faster and do multiple passes? A friend suggested on the first pass, to look for irrelevent passes. Good advice?
I recently observed something about ties between PR and martial arts. I just began studying Russian style martial arts, and the mental focus during it is relaxed and fluid. Also they reccomend soft eyes. They said that in this state you make more mental images per second, making time appear slower. Interesting stuff! I'll be moving like the Matrix soon.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
