Is LSC planning to develop and release a photoreading software which will enable Photoreaders to photoread at much higher speeds?

This software that I'm talking about is similar to those I read somewhere which flashed information and/ or pages on a screen. It's meant to facilitate faster absorption of new data.

The only one that right now come close to hands free PhotoReading is Acrobat reader. It changes pages at one page per second. On the computer I personly find that a tad slow but at least it's PhotoReading pace.

I like to read e-books and e-mail by holding down the page down key. I've had to adjust the repeat rate to get the speed just the way I like it. I have found that I can get through certian books at about 750,000 w.p.m. doing this.

When I do that in word, IE, pdf, etc., same pages doesn't show at all.

Bill, can you share with the rest of us specifically how you read e-books at 750,000 WPM? I'm very interested to know the technique that you used.

I suppose the answer is to just press the 'page down' key, above the arrow keys and next to the button 'end' (near the number key on the right side of the keyboard).

I tested it and the 'page down' key doesn't miss any of the material as one would have to press it twice to go on to the next page. But when holding it down, it rapidly scrolls down texts, and photoreading should work. I just haven't been good at activating..

But anyway...

How to adjust the repeat rate:

Keep in mind I still use windows 98. Your computer may be different, much different.

Click the "start" button, hover over "settings", click "control panel", click on the "keyboard" icon. You should now have a window titled keyboard properties. In mine the speed tab is already on top. In the speed tab there is a slider for "repeat rate". I have mine about 20% from the left.

How to photo read a computer:

I use all the techniques I learned from photoreading books and applied it to the computer. I did, however, find it more difficult to photo focus on the monitor in the begining. At first I had to put an image on top of my monitor, establish focus, then drop my gase to the screen. With practice it's now automatic.
