Hi; previewing is very short and brief about 3 to 5 minutes a book. What you are looking for is something that attracts your attention something that really stands out & this will be related to your purpose or reason for what you want to get from the book. Again previewing is short 3 to 5 minutes and you are flipping pages stopping maybe at 20 pages when something really grabs your attention. It is all about layers.Previewing is one layer photoreading is another layer mind probing questions is another layer superreading and dipping is another layer mind-mapping is another layer.

Preview a book 5 to 8 minutes pull out 20 to 25 trigger words.

Previewing is not for understanding a book fully it's for getting an idea of the style and topic of the book.

If you plan on postviewing after PhotoReading then you only preview for 1 minute to 90 seconds.

Remeber to use the tangerine technique when previewing.
