Hi.

I would like to know if Spring Forest Qigong level 1 is for pregnant women? If it is, is there any movement or anything that is not reccomendable for pregnant women?
And what about when a woman has menstruation? Is it advisable not to practise SFQ in that days to not stop the natural flowing of energy in the body which is a very special kind of flowing in that days?

Thanks

Aloha Marina_Butala,

Here are some initial things to concider:

Pregnancy
In the Level One course you hear him recomending not to do the heel raises in the Harvesting of Qi, or the Seven Steps of New Life. Everyone is a little different, so you may find that you can comfortably only do the sitting meditations. My wife actually found the Seven Step was the only exercise (other than the mediations that she could do).

Menstration
The Breast Massage found in Level Two, not only helps with menopause, it will help with problems with periods. The flow period will be shorter and you will detoxify faster. You must focus your energy in the heart. This can even help after hysterectomy.

Much Love,

Shawn

Thank yuo Shawn_Grim.

But what with the SFQ exercises Level One during the menstruations? Are they all alowed but only being focused on the heart instead of on the lower Dantian ?

Yes, you may focus on the heart region rather than the lower dantien.

During menstruation (personally, or working on a friend) you can bring the energy back to the heart, rather than the lower dantian.
