How important is the ending exercise?

Also when I tell people about SFQ and qi I will tell them to put their hand out and I open and close my hands so they can feel the energy most people feel heat and some feel tingling on their hands. Is this OK to do? Is there a better way?

I have been practicing SFQ on and off for the past 2 months.
I can feel peoples energy with my hands if I pass it over them.
How long does it usually take to get to this point?

Thanks

I think the ending exercises are very important in order to ground yourself and get rid of stagnant chi.

There's no answer for this as skills and techniques take different amounts of time to develop because each of our energy systems are different. One person could be born with it (an extra-sensitivity to energy) and for another person it could take months, even years to develop. It all depends on practice and/or when the Universe decides...

Aloha yingyangman,

You'll want to do some form of the ending exercises, whether it's an abbreviated version like Master Lin does at the end of the meditations, or the full thing. It help ground and bring you out of your active or sitting meditation.

Much Love, Shawn
