What is the reason that Chunyi gives as to why the smell of lotus flower or incense is present at his live seminars?

Aloha RoyalC130,

It's not just at the live seminars. It can happen during any of you mediations or active exercise practice.

Chunyi talks about it showing up as an indication of a master's energy present. So when you call upon your master's energy at the beginning of your practice (whom ever that may be), the noticeable smell may or may not be perceivable to you.

The intensity of a large gathering of like-intentioned people at events like the 6-day Spring Forest Qigong Retreat, focuses a lot of energy and in that space, can bump up one's energy level to the place where they can perceive it, when normally they may not.

Much Love,

Shawn
